The Sooner Baseball team took the trip West but lost 2/3 games. The one win however was the 1st and still the only home loss for WVU. Here is a full recap of what happened over the weekend.

Game (1) was the one loss and the only home loss for WVU. The Mountaineers and Sooners where in a tight game all game long. The Sooners jumped on top early scoring two runs in the Top of the second and that was just enough to hold off WVU. The final score was (2-1) Sooner in game one.

Game (2) was the same for the majority of the game. The Sooners and Mountaineers were tied a threes heading in to the bottom of the 6th inning. Then in the 7th & 8th inning the Mountaineers outrunned the Sooners (9-1) for the rest of the game. This happened with (1) run in the 7th but (8) runs in the 8th. The Sooners scored their (1) run in the top of the 9th. The final score was (12-4). This set up a rubber-match on Sunday.

West Virginia jumped on top of the Crimson and Cream early. WVU scored all 5 runs in the first 4 innings Sunday afternoon. The Sooners would not be outdone they did score a run in the 4th inning. The final score was (5-1) Mountaineers.

The Sooners look to get back on track after losing the series with a (3) Home series. (1) game against ORU-(Tuesday)/(3 game Set & Big 12 series) TCU-(Friday/Saturday/Sunday). Finally (2 games series)Texas State will be in Norman for a mid week (April 9/ 10).
