The Sooners are officially off to the WCWS 2019. They did so by taking care of business in the Super Regionals defeating Northwestern Twice. Here is a review of how they got back to the WCWS in OKC.
(3-0)-(Oklahoma)-(Game 1)
The Sooner got right to work in the Bottom of the 1st scoring (1) run (1-0)-(Oklahoma). The Wildcats defense kept the Sooners run scoring at bay after that until bottom of the 5th. Thats when the Sooners scored (2) runs this made it (3-0)-(Oklahoma).
(7-0)-(Oklahoma)-(Game 2)
Just like in Game (1) Oklahoma got right to work early scoring (1) run in the top of the first (1-0)-(Oklahoma). The Wildcats then hit a BuzzSaw when the Sooners scored (4) more runs in the top of the 3rd (5-0)-(Oklahoma). The Sooners offense was not done yet scoring (1) more in the top of the 5th (6-0)-(Oklahoma). The Sooners then homered again in the Top of the 6th scoring (1) run (7-0)-(Oklahoma). There was just enough time for One more Airplane celebration because of another home run scoring (1) run in the Top of the 7th (8-0)-(Oklahoma).
Up Next WCWS for the Sooners
The Sooners will next take on Alabama as part of the WCWS. The other half of the Sooners bracket will be Oklahoma Rival OKState will play Florida. The Game Times have not officially been announced yet but I suspect with Both Oklahoma teams being in this half of the bracket it will be the Night bracket on Thursday night in OKC. The Games of course will be played at USA Softball stadium Complex.
