Just like the QB is the leader of the Offense. A lot of people think the Linebacker position is the leader on the Defesne.
Sooners also have OLB in as extra blitzing Defensive Ends.(31)Jalen Redmond/(42)Mark Jackson Jr/(41)K'Jakre Daley are the OLB/DE. of this crew only Jackson Jr made (7) starts this past season playing in (10) Games. Jalan Redmond also did his part to help the Sooners after finding out he had a Blood Clot issue. Redman saw action in three games with (0) starts.
(29)Jonathan Perkins will also be joining the team as and DE/OLB rush end.
Thats the OLB from yesterday so yall probably saw coming. Something y'all also saw coming was the MLB. The heart and sole of OU Defense at LineBacker isn't hard to Figure OUt. (7)Kenneth Murray and number (19)Caleb Kelly. First of all there's (7) Murray he started all (28) games of his Oklahoma career over the last (2) CFP runs. Things for (19) Kelly started 5 of the games he participated in last season for the Sooners.
The Middle Linebacker isn't getting any help because of being so deph heavy in the middle. A couple of guys to watch out for are as followed. (35)Nick Bonitto who is a true Sophomore now. (33)Bonitto saw action in (3) games as a True Freshman yet however he hasn't made a start while at Oklahoma. Also keep an eye on (33) Ryan Jones who played in a 11 games last year including getting 3 starts. (33) Jones is a Red Shirt Freshman.
