(57) days left till the Sooners and Houston kick off 2019. Its time to celebrate with my favorite players to wear (57)Cedric Jones(1992-1995) and (57)Casey Bookout(1996).
(57)Cedric Jones Played for Gibbs and his sooners from(1992-1995).During his time helping the DLine the Sooners record was (25-18-3). This was a good accomplishment with Nebraska and Colorado being in their heyday during this era of college football. After his senior season in 1995 he was drafted by the NY Giants in the (1996 NFL Draft). He was their 1st round pick for the Giants where he spent his entire career from (1996-2000).
(57)Casey Bookout was a (2) sport athlete for the Sooners. Including College Baseball he also played one year of Football at the University of Oklahoma way back in 1996. Of course he made a bigger name for himself on the Diamond where he is still the all time HomeRun king in Norman. His brother Kevin Bookout came to Norman a few years later as a (2) sport athlete in his own right in College Basketball and Track and Field. During Caseys one year of college football the Sooners went (3-8) in 1996.
