(51) days left till the Sooners and Houston kick off 2019. Its time to celebrate with my favorite players to wear (51)Kurt Burriss played in Norman from (1953-1954) offense and (51) Demarrio Pleasant also played in Norman(2004-2007).
(51)Kurt Burris played in Norman from (1952-1954) . Burris helped Wilkinson and the Soonerse to (3) Consecutive Big 7 Titles. During Tubbs time in Norman his record was (27-2-2) while playing in Norman. After finishing his time in Norman the Cleveland Browns selected him in 1955. Burris however decided to go to the Canadian Football league from 1955-1960. He spent with the time with the Edmonton Eskimos/Saskatchewan Roughriders/ & the Calgary Stampeders. His 1954 season Burris was a Heisman semifinalist and finished second in the race.
(51) Demarrio Pleasant also played in Norman(2004-2007). While playing LB in Norman the Sooner won (3) Big 12 Championships titles. While in Norman Pleasant helped the Sooner to a (42-11) record. The year they were left out was 2005. Remember thought the one year they did not win the league Pleasant and company lead the Conference in Defense. But they did lost to Big 12 and National Champion Texas.Texas finished undefeated that season. They ran away with the South Division by a (2) games clear of Texas Tech and Oklahoma.
