(41) days left till the Sooners and Houston kick off 2019. Its time to celebrate with my favorite players to wear (41)Darien Williams played in Norman from (2004-2006)and (41)Gary Gibbs (1971-1974).
(41)Darien Williams played in Norman from (2004-2007). Williams and the Sooner had a (42-11) during Dariens tenure. Sooners tough were 3X Big 12 Champions titles. However they did not win a National title in that ERA. Along with the 3 Big 12 Titles. The Sooners also made to the (2)BCS Fiesta Bowl invites (2006/2007)and (1) BCS National Championship game in (2004).
(41)Gary Gibbs played in for the Sooner from (1971-1974). with Beals help the Sooners won (3)consecutive Big 8 Titles and .(43-2-1) was the record while in Norman for Gibbs played on Defense. The NFL did not come calling for Gibbs. Since that didn't happen he starting his coaching career. He was prompted to Head Coach 1989-1994 in Norman. (44-23-2). During his coaching ERA the Sooners did not win a Big 12/National Champion.
