(39) days left till the Sooners and Houston kick off 2019. Its time to celebrate with my favorite players to wear (39)James Goode played in Norman from (1987-1990) and (39)Kevin Murphy (1982-1985).
(39)James Goode played in Norman from (1987-1990).(35-11) was how Goodes OU record looked in the End. His record also ended with just (1) Big 8 title. The Sooners however did not win a National title in this Era. Goode was then taken by the Dirty Birds of Atlanta in the 1991 NFL Draftin the 5th round.
(39)Kevin Murphy played for the Sooners from(1982-1985).(36-11-1) was the Sooners record in Norman during Murphys 4 year playing career in Norman. He helped Switzer and company to only (1) Big 8 Title in this ERA of Sooner History. He however made up for it by also helping the Sooner bring home the 1985 National Championship. After Murphys career with Oklahoma he made a living in the NFL. He was Drafted in the (1986) by the Tampa Bay Bucs. He also spent time with San Diego Chargers and the Seattle Seahawks.
