(24)Joe Washington played in Norman from (1972-1975).(42-1-2) was Peterson's OU record at the end of his career. His record also ended with just (4) Big 8 titles. Remember During this Era the Soones were on TV & bowl probation or they would have won a few national titles in his era. After in Norman Washington headed to San Diego Chargers who drafted him in the 1976 Draft as their 1st round and 4th overall pick. Along with the Chargers Washington also played for the Baltimore Colts/Washington Redskins/and finally the Atlanta Falcons.
(24)Marcus Walker also played for the Sooners from(2004-2007). (42-11) was the overall record while Walker played in Norman.The wins includes (3)Big 12 Titles. This Era does also include a BCS National title appearance with USC in (2004) season. After his time Marcus Walker spent time with the Vikings-(Minnesota) and the Panthers(Carolina).
